While the office is closed how do I pay my bill?

You can mail your bill, use your banks online bill payer, or use the dropbox. The dropbox is located to the right of the front door. Envelopes are being provided. Please make sure to include your name, address and account number if you have it.

Is it safe to put cash in the dropbox?

Yes. The total amount you drop in the box will be credited to your account. You must remember to include your name and account number. Include your bill and the office staff will mail you a receipt.

What if I move, how do I connect or disconnect service?

Call the Village Office number 607 674 2300 and if the staff is working they will answer the telephone, if you get the answering machine, please leave a message with a return contact telephone number and someone will return your call.

What number do I call if I have an electrical outage?

Call the Village Office number 607 674 2300 and you will be prompted to hit 1 and will automatically be forwarded to the Electric Department employee on call. If for some reason this does not work, you can call Travis DuBois’ cell phone at 607 316 8803.

What if I need an electric service upgrade or I need my meter temporarily pulled for a repair on my house?

You can call Travis at 607 316 8803 to discuss scheduling. However, for at least the remainder of April, only emergency or essential work is being done.

Is the Village still picking up yard waste?

Yes, a few days a week, one employee at a time is picking up brush and leaves either bagged or put into garbage cans.

Will the Village Board still have their regular meetings?

The Village Board will still meet the third Monday of each month to conduct business as is necessary. Precautions will need to be taken to “social distance”. Meeting minutes can be read after approved online at www.sherburne.org.

Village Elections?

The Village Election originally scheduled for March 18, 2020 has now been postponed until after June 1, 2020. The individual that holds the office for election has been held over in that office until an election takes place.

Why wasn’t there an Annual Meeting held?

The Village will not be holding its annual meeting until the first Monday of the month after the Village election is held.

What if I want to reserve a pavilion at Paddleford Park this summer?

PLEASE NOTE THE PARKS ARE CLOSED AT THIS TIME UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Call the Village Office number 607 674 2300 and make your request. The pavilions are already reserved for the most part. If you have to leave a message, someone will return your call.

Has the Sherburne Pageant of Bands for 2020 been cancelled?

Yes

Will the Sherburne Pool be open this summer?

At this time no decision has been made regarding the Sherburne Pool for the summer of 2020. The Sherburne Recreation Commission will make any decision regarding the Sherburne Pool closer to June 2020. The health and safety of all the patrons will be of the utmost importance.
