The Village of Sherburne’s Annual Meeting will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 at 3:30 pm with the regular scheduled meeting to follow.

The annual Village election for the Village of Sherburne will be held on March 15, 2022.

Positions open for election are:

One (1) Mayor for a four (4) year term.
Two (2) Trustees for a four (4) year term each.

Prospective candidates for the above office must be a US Citizen, 18 years of age or older, and residents of the Village. Candidates may circulate independent nominating petitions between the dates of December 28, 2021 and February 8, 2022. Petitions may be filed with the Village Clerk between the dates of February 1, 2022 and February 8, 2022.

Personal Registration will be held on March 5, 2022 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Village Office, rear entrance.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees at a regular meeting held on August 16, 2021, duly adopted and approved, SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, Village of Sherburne Local Law No. 1 of the year 2021, entitled, “A local law adopted pursuant to Cannabis Law Section 131 opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Sherburne.” The purpose and effect of this local law is to authorize the Village of Sherburne to opt out of hosting retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within its corporate boundaries.

The Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees have scheduled a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 3;30 PM in the Auditorium at the Municipal Building, 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York for the purpose of hearing any and all comments on proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2021, a local law opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Sherburne. Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for public inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office.

The Sherburne Pool opens June 26, 2021 at Noon.

The Village of Sherburne will hold a Special Meeting on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Auditorium at the Municipal Building, 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York.

Due to the crisis, the public entrance to the Village office has been closed until further notice.

The Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees has scheduled a budget workshop for Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 9:00 AM in the Auditorium at 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York.

Water mains will be flushed 10/05/20 – 10/13/20 between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Water may become cloudy during those hours.
